Fundraising for a cause you believe in is a great way to show your support and have some fun with friends and family.

At the moment things are a little different, but you can still raise much needed funds and get others involved… you just need a little imagination and some help from technology to take your idea virtual!

Hold a bake sale, coffee morning, dinner, or movie night with friends, family, colleagues or with a group you’re a member of.

If, like us, you’re getting fed up with wearing ‘loungewear’ why not ‘Dress Up for Dementia’ on a Friday and make a donation.

To donate £5 simply Text D4D to 70085. (Texts cost £1 plus one standard rate message and you’ll be opting in to hear more about our work and fundraising via telephone and SMS. If you’d like to donate but do not wish to receive marketing communications, text D4DNOINFO to 70085). To donate another amount simply text D4D plus the amount you would like to donate to 70085 e.g D4D3 to donate £3.

Set yourself a challenge and get sponsored

Ever dreamed of running a marathon or climbing Mount Snowdon but need an added motivator? Then set yourself a challenge and raise money by getting yourself sponsored to complete it. Here are some ideas below and we have loads more in our fundraising pack:

    • Abseil – ok this one may be a little harder at the moment!
    • Cycle Rides – Use your hour a day and spread your challenge over a week. You could challenge yourself to cycle the distance from London to Paris!
    • Walk or Run – Set yourself a distance you want to walk and decide if it’s circuits of your garden or part of your daily exercise – then off you go!
    • Sit-ups, Star Jumps or any other exercise – set your challenge, share it on social media and collect the sponsorship!

TotalGiving is free to use and they don’t charge any fees. This way we get 100% of the money you raise.
