Dementia Support is a new Charity based in Tangmere near Chichester and we are creating the first ever ‘one stop shop’ for those living directly or indirectly with dementia. In this state-of-the-art Hub opening in spring 2018, we will be capable of delivering a wide range of vital services under one roof providing the latest support, information, advice and activities to those living with Dementia.

Apprentice Business Administrator

[Intermediate Level]

Full-time, fixed term contract – the apprenticeship will be undertaken over a 15-month period.

Qualifications required:             Two or more GCSEs (A* – C) including English and Maths (or equivalent).

Salary: £10,400 per annum

An apprenticeship is a flexible role where the work is wide-ranging and delivered to set timescales. You will undertake and complete various aspects of the Intermediate Apprenticeship scheme e.g. attending college regularly; working with an assessor to develop a work-based portfolio within specified timeframes.

This is a general administration role within a busy charity office with some front of house customer services well as back office support. The purpose is to provide administrative support, taking on general correspondence and database management.

The successful individual will be organised, energetic and keen to learn within a busy office environment and be prepared to undertake an intermediate apprenticeship at Chichester College.

Previous experience of working with others to deliver a goal is essential. Experience of working in a paid or voluntary capacity is desirable.

Key duties will involve:

  1. Greeting, welcoming and directing visitors
  2. Dealing with telephone calls and emails,
  3. Managing the filing system and maintaining accurate records,
  4. Inputting information onto the database

This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday. Free parking is available on site.
