We have two new posts at Dementia Support – Part- time Administrator (20hrs) and Community Relationships Co-ordinator (30 hrs):

Our organisation is committed to working towards a society where dementia is wholly understood and accepted. We want to ensure that all local people living with or affected by dementia are fully supported throughout their journey.

Dementia Support is a new Charity based in Tangmere near Chichester. We are creating and building a unique state-of-the-art Hub that will be opening in spring 2018, from which we will be capable of delivering a wide range of vital services under one roof providing the latest support, information, advice and activities to those living with Dementia.

As we now gather momentum and prepare for our launch, we are looking to expand our team with two new members.

Part-time Administrator (20hrs)

Salary: £17,772 to £20,661 per annum FTE pro rata for 20 hours

The successful individual will be organised, highly energetic and capable of managing a busy and diverse set of responsibilities including management of general correspondence, database management, report writing and research whilst ensuring that the hub is administratively operating efficiently and to a high standard.

You will have experience of working within an office environment and be able to demonstrate good customer service skills. Good IT knowledge and the ability to communicate with customers, donors and colleagues professionally is a must!

Key duties will involve:

Greeting, welcoming and directing visitors

Dealing with telephone calls and emails,

Managing the filing system and maintaining accurate records,

Ensuring all donations are accurately recorded and processed in a timely manner,

Reconciling petty cash.

This is a part time role, working Monday to Friday. Free parking is available on site.

Community Relationships Co-ordinator (30 hrs)

Salary: £24,174 to £26,882 per annum FTE pro rata for 30 hours

This is a brand new and we believe unique role within the organisation leaving scope for the post-holder to make it their own!

Dementia Support works in partnership with a range of organisations and the local community.

We are looking for an individual who can develop and oversee the programme of activities in the Hub for people living with dementia and their carers. This will involve coordinating the delivery of activities provided by others including partners, volunteers, work experience placements and apprentices.

You will have a can do attitude and with your excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in partnership you will also work closely with local Higher Education establishments to develop and manage an apprenticeship programme.
